3/20 Outdoor Wednesday #219

Susan, thank you for hosting Outdoor Wednesday again.   If you are interested in participating or viewing other blogs who have posted an outdoor theme click here:  http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.

When my husband, John, and I visited Curacao, we stayed here at the Moran House.  It was simply like being in paradise.

The infinity pool was amazing!

Picturesque gate into side garden.

Birds were on cacti.    80s everyday.   What's not to like?

Thinking Outside the Box Cardboard Box

Found this interesting cardboard box.

It was just a plain simple image.   One that needed to be deleted.
Somehow, I saw potential.
I kept it in photo files.

I edited it in Picasa Photo Program .
Now it looks like Yin and Yang symbol to me.
I decided to post this image for Creative Every Day 2013
as a black and white format goal.
Yahoo....it is finished.

Quote 583 Marianne Williamson

“A tulip doesn’t strive to impress anyone. It doesn’t struggle to be different than a rose. It doesn’t have to. It is different. And there’s room in the garden for every flower. You didn’t have to struggle to make your face different than anyone else’s on earth. It just is. You are unique because you were created that way. Look at little children in kindergarten. They’re all different without trying to be. As long as they’re unselfconsciously being themselves, they can’t help but shine. It’s only later, when children are taught to compete, to strive to be better than others, that their natural light becomes distorted.”

Thank you Beverly for being the hostess.

Pink roses on a cross in a cemetary in Soto, Curacao-Feb. 2013.   I took a double take after posting this image.  It looks like a triangle behind the bottom of the cross and I see a face with long hair holding the cross up toward the sky.  I also see two rectangles one is straight on and the other rectangle is a wee bit crooked.

The weather in Curacao is in the 80s everyday.   That isn't hard to take when back home in Chicagoland area it is in the 20s either snowing, raining or grey but someone has to do it so it might as well be me.

Here is more information of the cemetary in Soto, Curacao:  http://curacaocemeteries.com/Soto.html.

I just had to share this fun blog:  http://harleygirl-countrygirl.blogspot.com/2013/03/pink-st-patricks-day.html?showComment=1363403978189#c1693578940645287386.   Isn't that St. Patrick's Day duck a "cute" post?

From our house to your house we wish you a HAPPY ST. PATRICK's DAY.

Creative Every Day 2013 - Black and White Format Photograph

March Challenge is black and white.   I found your page just about an hour ago.   This image before was flat and uninteresting to me.   Played around in Picasa Photo Program.
Now it looks like an archaeology dig find: insect on rock.
What fun!

Sunday in the afternoon, the forest perserve in Glenview, IL was enveloped with fog.  A person was enjoying a picnic and reading.

Found two people exploring the woods.

This path was closed.   Notice the heavy fog at the other end.

Can barely see the woods.

Later, it rained, then rained and then rained some more.   Chicagoland area was lucky the rain wasn't snow.   I went down to Lake Michigan but there wasn't any fog.   How odd?    Afternoon fog is strange too.   It usually disappates.

"The March wind roars

Like a lion in the sky,

And makes us shiver

As he passes by.

When winds are soft,

And the days are warm and clear,

Just like a gentle lamb,

Then spring is here."

EEEEK!   Ladies and Gentlemen!   Don't be afraid.   This is not a real iguana.    This fence has only a decorative iguana extending from face to tail along the long, long, long fence.    Isn't this something?   Iguana fence is located at the Landhuis Jan Kok Willibrordus Gallery of Nena Sanchez.

Iquana

This photograph was taken on Nena Sanchez' property.   Another day I will post the wall that the iquana is climbing on.
Today, I am showing only the eyeball.
Do you think the iquana is real or fake?
