Quote - Julia Cameron - What next?

"I learned when hit by loss, to ask:  'What next?' instead of 'Why me?'  Whenever I am willing to ask, 'What next?' I have moved ahead."  ~ Julia Cameron

Thinking Outside the Box - Metal Flower

What is this?   A metal flower on an entrance gate in Chicago.    Which side is up?    Either side.   Perhaps one could even turn it to the right side or left side.   Every Monday I explore what I can do differently with the photos taken that week or photos buried in my files that were never used.

Quote - Joel Meyerowitz - Split Second

"We all experience it.  Those moments we gasp and say, "Oh look at that!"  Maybe it's nothing more than the way the shadow glides across a face, but in the split second, when you realize something truly remarkable is happening and disappearing right in front of you, if you can pass a camera before your eye, you'll tear a piece of time out of the whole, and in a breath, rescue it and give it meaning."  ~ Joel Meyerowitz

Quote - Wassily Kandinsky - Unknown World

"...lend your ears to music, open your eyes to painting, and .... stop thinking!   Just ask yourself whether the work has enabled you to "walk about" into a hitherto unknown world.  If the answer is yes, what more do you want?"

Thinking Outside The Box - Gas Station Storage Tank Covers

While my husband, John, was pumping gas into our SUV, I noticed these storage tank covers.   Image was taken in color.   Obviously, I played with photo in Picasa.   Came up with this.   Notice the unusual designs. There is no beginning and no end to circles.
