My last living relative on my father's side, passed away April 12th.   Her name was Irene Carpenter.  She was 98 years old.  This is the sunset we saw the day she was buried.  What an awesome tribute!

Sad to say, my husband has peripheral neuropathy. Peak & Balance offers him anodyne treatments. It seems to relieve his pain for a bit.  While he was making appointments for four weeks, I was outside looking around for a shot.  All I had to do was to look up for the miracle.

Photo taken in West Chicago, 2016.

Film study of shapes:  squares, vertical, long and short lines.  To me, this looks like film in a canister before digital photography.  What do you think this image looks like?

"The capacity for delight is the gift of paying attention."

Chance

Studying inside and outside.
Photo taken at:  Aurora Branch, Turner Junction, West Chicago-2016.

"The benefits of chance are enormous, but you have to watch out for them too.  Chance gets me beyond whatever I had in mind when I started to work.  It comes into play when I let things happen and then chase alongside them and grasp them on the fly.  But the artist is responsible to what chance gives him,  and just setting it down without taking it in and manifesting it again in the heuristic process is not enough."

Happy April Fool's Day!  If you would like to view skies from all over the world click here: http://skyley.blogspot.com/.  Our SkyWatch Friday hosts are:  Yogi, Sylvia and Sandy.

Kenilworth Beach, March-2016.

"There are no rules and regulations for perfect composition.  If there were we would be able to put all that information into a computer and would come out with a masterpiece. We know that's impossible.  You have to compose by the seat of your pants."
~ Arnold Newman
