8/31/2016 - Outdoor Wednesday - #399 - Hydrangea Plants in our Garden

Greetings and Salutations!   If you would like to view Outdoor Themes click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.  Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

Hydrangea photo taken last week.   Notice the color is white.

This week hydrangea plants are turning PINK.  I think these flowers are so much like fireworks on the 4th of July.   Don't you?

A rock garden surrounds these hydrangea plants.  Notice the two circles.  This was not painted on the rock. It was found this way.   Nature sure is full of miracles.

8/24/2016 - Outdoor Wednesday - #398 - Burning Pit, Hydrangea, Sunflowers and Sunset on Lac Court Orrielles - Quote - B. Carter - Good Old Days

Greetings and Salutations!   If you would like to view Outdoor Themes click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.   Thank you Susan for being our hostess.

My husband and I built this burning pit yesterday with Holland Pipestone Pavers purchased at L&M, Hayward, Wisconsin.   We had our first fire yesterday.

We lost a hydrangea last winter.  We purchased this one at Rollingwood Nursery, Stone Lake, Wisconsin. John dug a hole about 14 to maybe 18 inches deep for the plant and the fish guts (which he uses as fertilizer). After a night of gentle rain on the bush, I noticed a bee on the hydrangea already.  I think the bush likes the "new" surroundings.

Sunday, I went on a mission to see the sunflowers in bloom on County Road "B" near a distillery, Sarona, Wisconsin.  Aren't these plants just smiling away at just being alive.

This week we had a storm with lightening, thunder and awesome sunsets.   I hope you will come and visit this blog again.  Meanwhile, take care.

8/22/2016 - Thinking Outside the Box - Weeds - Quote - Alan Alda - Creativity

I went down to the lake and discovered these weeds wrapped around the metal poles that hold the dock up. So I took the original image (a comfortable shot) and went into Picasa (my creative mode).  This photograph now looks like a contemporary painting (uncomfortable place).  Taaa Dahhhh!

8/18/2016 - SkyWatch Friday - Lac Court Orrielles - Sunset - Quote - Confucius - Heart

Greetings and Salutations!   If you would like to view skies from all over the world click here: skyley.blogspot.com.

My husband, John, and I went fishing the other night.   We caught a few blue gills and then heard thunder, saw lightening and then noticed all the boats on the lake were gone.   Just a lone loon and us were left.  So John unanchored the boat and we headed for our pier.  We watched the sunset.   Luckily, I had a cell phone along on the trip.  Notice the layers and layers and layers in the sky and lake.

8/3/2016 - Outdoor Wednesday - #395 - Mannequin

Greetings and Salutations!   If you would like to view Outdoor Themes click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.  Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

Ladies' Day out was a trip to Winter Gardens then lunch with some folks we bumped into.  I thought this mannequin was awesome.   Look she is even holding a purse and wearing gloves.

Close-up of mannequin in Winter Gardens, Winter, Wisconsin.

Mannequin's are everywhere.   Seem to be the in thing.  This mannequin was found in a store called Firefly in Seeley, Wisconsin.   I love to visit this shop to see crafts that local artists' have made.

This mannequin was found in a gift shop located inside THE SAW MILL SALOON,  Seeley, Wisconsin.

Look at this gigantic purse outside of Firefly, Seeley, Wisconsin.   Too big for the mannequin to hold.
