October 24, 2016 - Outdoor Wednesday - #407 - Hollyhocks and Chairs

Missing these hollyhocks already.

Dreaming about sitting a spell  in the sun under blue skies.

It is raining here, dreary and in the 40s.  The future is sleet and snow and ice.   I need to stop thinking about tomorrow and just enjoy today.  I am blessed.

Photos taken in Salem, Massachusetts 2016

John, my husband, and I were sightseeing in a rental car in Salem, Massachusetts.  When all of a sudden, I said look there.  I knew immediately that they were Patrick Doughtery's sculptures because I had seen him being interviewed on a TV show. Being used to me, John found a parking spot, and I jumped out of the car and started shooting.  These sculptures are so big that I could walk through them.   Amazing talented artist. Hoping that someday you too will see his work with your own eyes.

Foggy morning.

When I was a child, my dad would take me to the barber shop. I learned to be patient while waiting for him to have a shave and a haircut every two weeks.  Now that I am an adult, I don't have to sit and wait for my husband, John to have his haircut.  Instead, I go searching for pictures to take, go shopping, once I even purchased chocolate covered strawberries on sale next door to the barbershop.  Boy were those strawberries ever yummy!

Hoping you will visit this blog again soon.
