I remember when I was in my 30s, after being interviewed and hired for a job, I said, "I'll try to do my best."  

Boss said, "There is no try, there is only do."

I can not remember for the life of me if that was before seeing the movie Star Wars or after.   Regardless, that quote has stuck in my brain.
