1/06/2010 Outdoor Wednesday #52

This week I am posting photographs taken at Lake Hollingsworth, Lakeland, Florida, December, 2009.

Photograph One: Four trees in Lake Hollingsworth, Lakeland, Florida. Did you notice the fall colors?

Photograph Two: I found this interesting pier. Honestly, I have never seen a dock like this anywhere before. Did you notice there are more autumn colors in the background.

Photograph Three: Close-up of palm tree growing sideways. The trip to visit Lakeland, Florida was a nice day; but turned cloudy. The next four days it rained, and rained and rained some more during our visit to Orlando, Florida area in 2009. We have been lucky in previous years because it has always been sunny and warm for our visits.
Click here if you would like to participate: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com. I would like to thank Susan. She works hard every week, day-in and day-out, all year long so that we might participate by posting for Outdoor Wednesday.

  8. As we drove through northern FL, I did notice fall colors! I was surprised! It looks beautiful-we had 30's as we hit the top of I-95but it was 20 at home! We went to Orlando for New Years one year and had high 70's-boy, were we lucky! Thanks for coming by!

  10. Beautiful views from Florida. We have docks like that in Southern California too ... methinks it's a warm weather coastal thing. Thanks for the applause at Happily Retired Gal ... I'm still smiling ;-)

  11. Beautiful, even with the cloudy skies. They provide a certain serene moodiness. Love the photo of the pier. That would be an excellent one for framing. =)

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

    Happy Wednesday to you!

  12. Your photo of the trees growing right out of the water helped me realize why this is called Lakeland!! And I love the photo of the palm tree growing sideways. That would make a whimsical framed piece!!

Sorry about your bad weather. Hope you had a good time otherwise!

    xoxo

  17. I see those fall colors in the background. Like us in the West, we have late fall and do not get the snow unless we go to the mountains.

Very interesting photo of the pier.

    Sorry, it rained.
