That's so true. I've always liked Robert Frost's poem, The Road Not Taken. As a senior I personally try not to dwell on the choices I made in my youth. That would be a waste of my NOW.
Carol: Agreed. I look for rural roads up North and drive down them for photographs. The bent tree from the wind caught my eye. I'm a senior also. I do not fret about what I did or didn't do when I was younger either. I focus on the now.
I find unusual roads by following up on Garage/House sales. Sometimes I never reach my destination because I find so many images to photograph that I run out of time to look or buy something. LOL!
Most of the time the rural roads leads me to another rural road so I turn left and then later I see another rural road so I turn right. GPS gets me back to where I started. Nothing is better than "home sweet home."
It's like a natural bridge there! I love the picture and the quote, taken both literally and figuratively. We like to explore roads, especially the country or forest ones, to satisfy our curiosity. And I think in the other sense, blogging satisfies some of my wonder about "roads" not taken . (For example, we took a different road by choosing to travel instead of staying in our family home and hometown. Through blogging, I enjoy meeting people who took another path! )
Sallie, Agreed, the trees appear to be a bridge. I think rural roads bring out curiosity. Meeting people who made the choice of taking another path are interesting.

DeleteLove your artsy photograph and a great quote.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
DeleteSo much truth in that quote, and the picture is perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteAlana, I wonder where does this road go and so I put my turn signal on and find out. Usually there is an image on that less traveled road.
DeleteWonderful BW photo ~ so creative ~ Xo

DeletePretty photo. I love exploring rural roads. Which I could do it more often.
