A typical scene in the last weeks here too. But there are Ladders deposited at the lake for rescue purposes, for people who recklessly venture onto the ice and may have fallen through.
I was lucky to see the firemen practice saying each other on Lake Michigan for those that venture recklessly on the ice here a few years back. It was most interesting.
Lifeguards are seasonal, however, it seems like many of our safety nets are no longer available.
