Photo taken of an abandoned railroad trestle.  My husband, John, and I were on a back-road called Mosquito Brook Road heading toward Seeley,Wisconsin for lunch at the Sawmill Saloon.  When I saw this shot, of course we had to stop.   Here is information regarding Sawmill Saloon's menu:  http://www.seeleywis.com/sawmill-menu.  If you want to kayak, bike ride, fish, use ATV trails one can do it all  in this area.   There is a place called Lenroot Inn, Moose Lips Coffee Shop and a little gift shop besides the restaurant.  I've never stayed there, just saying.  Oh I forgot to mention there is an artist who uses a saw to make sculptures of eagles and bears and other wild animals out of wood.   It is really interesting if you haven't seen that done before.

I visited the art studio of Rabuck Knives located in Springbrook, Wisconsin during an Art Crawl.  He makes leather purses, knifes with handmade handles plus sheaths and other misc. things; but when I walked back to my car I noticed his wood shed.  The shed reminded me of Georgia O'keeffe paintings.  I asked Jason Rabuck for permission to take a picture of this wood shed.  He said, "Yes."

Below is a bird's nest he pointed out was inside the skull.   Do you see it?

Evidently this is all the wood he has split for the winter.  I was really taking a photo of the bird house attached to the wood shed.

August 28, 2017 - Thinking Outside the Box - Lac Court Oreilles Bottom View

I was standing on the dock waiting for a sunset to happen, when I took a peek at the water below.  Amazing how the tree branch over the lake was reflecting on the water.  The camera stopped the movement of the tree branch. At the top of image you can see what I was pointing out.  I was surprised that so many yellow leaves had sunk to the bottom of the lake and how the leaves formed almost a straight line looking like a sidewalk, road, or path.  It was amazing how the bottom of the lake could actually look like a desert or a canyon in the Southwestern States. Dark areas are small stones which form most of the bottom of the lakes up here. To tell you the truth sandy beach fronts are not as common as rocky bottoms.  Top right area looks like a cloud reflection on top of the water. Colors are presenting themselves softly to the viewer. Photography includes looking up, down, sideways and hoping the camera will capture something we didn't.

We didn't see any birds or wind or the eclipse because it was overcast here.  But this is what we saw for a sunset over the town of Stone Lake, Wisconsin.

John, my husband tried to follow the sunset in the car.  Here is a photograph of a boat coming to shore at sunset on Stone Lake the evening of the solar eclipse.

Next day at the laundry mat, I went out to the car for some reason and noticed the clouds engulfing the area.

Still at the laundry mat parking lot but this image is just more up close and personal by cropping the photograph..  Is that the light at the end of the tunnel?
