Outside of the Box Photograph #6

Noticed these reflections inside the car dealership where the oil was being changed in my car.
Subjects inside are automobiles and a ladder. Outside reflections are of an apartment building across the street. Don't the vehicles look like martians from outer space?

Exercise with Gilad

This year I have made a commitment to myself to exercise three days a week. Direct TV offers on Channel 261 diet and exercise all day long. I chose to work out with Gilad on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M.

Here is a sample of Gilad on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_dvG-WOsmo&NR=1
If you wish to purchase his CDs/DVDs here is the website: www.bodiesinmotionwithgilad.com/

FYI: I am not being offered any money to recomend Gilad or Channel 261 located on Direct TV.

Thank you Beverly for being the hostess each week.

My Pink contribution this week is a fish. The photograph was taken at Mickey's Christmas Parade, Disney World, Orlando, Florida. It is the one place on earth where an adult can feel like a kid again.
Think I'll go get a Klondike ice cream bar and then go visit blogs who are participating in Pink Saturday. See you in bloggerville.

Once a Ford dealership existed on a vacant lot next to this building. I have passed by this empty space so many times walking, riding my bike, driving my car. I didn't see these windows at first. Me, the "woman of looking for details" missed this shot so often. Finally, I saw it. I thought okay I'll photograph it another day. One day went by. One month went by. One year went by. I can't remember how many years has passed since I procrastinated on documenting these windows. Finally, on this day I remembered and got in my car and drove to the spot and took these three images. I suppose I should have taken more photographs like maybe six, or eight or ten. At least I took more than one photograph. Why did I only take three shots? No clue.

I have been studying lines, shapes, textures. This photograph is replete with metal, wood, glass, shingles, shades, peeling paint, rectangles, squares, and triangles. In the future I am sure some new construction will hide this canvas perhaps even tear this building down. Change. It is what it is.

Noticed this Pink sign in Orlando, Florida.

Noticed this Pink mailbox in rural Wisconsin.
For three days now, Chicagoland area has enjoyed sunny days with 60 degree weather. All that is expected to change. On the calendar it says tomorrow is the first day of Spring. Okay so why is snow gathering in our backyard?

This week I decided to feature trees as a subject for Outdoor Wednesday. Today, I went on an adventure with my husband and son to Zion, Illinois. On the way we saw this bright blue sky and tree without leaves or buds. Spring is just around the corner isn't it?

We also saw trees standing in flooding waters at Gurnee Forest Preserves.

Just a few days ago this photo was taken of trees and snow. Life is pretty simple if we just smile on those glorious sunshiny days and also smile when we face those cloudy gray days. It is what it is. And so be it. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Beverly has challenged us to recommend a blog that we haven't visited before. I would like to request you to take a look at http://nancysdailydish.blogspot.com/2010/02/working-with-transferwarea-glimpse-at.html. Nancy has some unusual ideas on how to use transferware. For example she uses a toast rack for sorting bills and letters. Seeing her examples of Pink transferware makes me say ooh, la, la.

Think I'll go make some hot white chocolate and then visit other blogs to see what they have posted this Pink Saturday. Enjoy the week-end. Ta, ta for now.

Outside of the Box Photograph #5

Metra Train speeding past a gas station during a snow storm.

Windshield of 1986 Ford F150 during a snow storm.

Pooh Bear in his books said: think, think, think. Well, for these three shots, I thought, and I thought, and I thought. Then I grabbed the camera and shot, and shot and shot.
These views are all taken inside a 1986 Ford F150 truck. The last two images are straight out of the camera except for cropping. The top photograph I changed to a black and white image because it appeared more dramatic that way. Notice the windshield wiper was included in the first and last photograph.
