8/15 Outdoor Wednesday #188

If you would like to participate or view blogs who have posted an outdoor theme click here:  http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.   Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

Hosta in bloom.

Today, my husband saw a mama bear and three cubby bears resting in the middle of Highway 70 and County Trunk "A" near Stone Lake, Wisconsin.   He accelerated the truck slowly toward them.  The big bear decided to get up and walked into the nearby cornfield and then the smaller bears got up and did the same. John said he " felt safe in a truck but not so safe if he had been walking alongside the paved road."

It is cooler today.   As I left the cabin early this morning the air smelled like fall. Jeepers there are only two more weeks left in August and then it will be September.   It is hard to believe that summer is almost over even though it was hot and dry.

Nice of you to stop by and visit.   Meanwhile, take care.   See you next time.

  3. Wow, hostas bloom a lot earlier here. Bears scare me. I'm glad we've never had any sightings around here.
