5/26/2016 - Outdoor Wednesday - #385 - Rocky Neck State Park, Lyme, CT

Howdy Folks!   I'm a bit late posting but better late than never.  If you would like to view Outdoor Themes click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.  Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

Drove to Rocky Neck State Park Beach, East Lyme, Connecticut.

I arrived at a huge parking lot.   Found a place to park the car.   Right away I asked someone nearby getting out of their vehicle, "Where's the beach?"  They were tourists too and replied, "They didn't know."   I said, "Quess we follow the others walking that a way!"  And so, eventually, I saw this tunnel under a railroad track.  Oh, there's the beach, I thought.  Cool!

View of the sandy beach, houses on the shoreline and the ocean.

People at the beach getting a sun tan about midway along the shore.

At the other end, it was a very rocky shore with no vegetation growing in between the boulders .  I found two sea shells.  Enjoyed the time spent at the sea shore in Connecticut.

One of my favorite things is to get outside and go to the beach. I found two sea shells.  Enjoyed the time spent at the sea shore in Connecticut.

  1. Hi JM, i love that long shot of the entrance to the beach. But the beach looks a it scary with those boulders, however they gave it the character.
