It takes getting used to all the grey skies offered to the Chicagoland residents. I am grateful for grey skies because it adds the drama to the images, in my opinion. Thanks for the comment. I have been a faithful follower of yours for years. Love your haiku and photographs remind me of the years I spent living in Albuquerque, NM as a child. Loved the mesa, the sunrises/sunsets, and the mountains. Desert flowers in the morning different desert flowers on the mesa in the evening. Arizona is even more beautiful. You are lucky enough to live there. Have a nice weekend.
Chicagoland is an adventure in a different way than desert and mountains. But, if one thinks ahead it can be an awesome way to spend a day in the city/suburbs. Just different is all. I am a long time vistor of your site and absolutely look forward to seeing where you are going on your adventures especially with Lilly.
That's a stark, almost chilling, photo. Perhaps it's the grey sky that makes it so.

DeleteTo me, I feel a joining of great powers against a stark sky. I agree, almost chilling.
ReplyDeleteAlana, the chilly day inspired this photograph for sure. Have a nice weekend.
DeleteThe contrast against the light sky make it really interesting. Enjoy your weekend!
