Up in Northern Wisconsin my husband and I hear the sound of the loon first thing in the morning and the last thing in the evening. We don't hear cars and trucks whizzing by on a tollway. Instead we hear the sound of trees stirring in the wind; we see the clouds moving across the sky; and we breathe in the clear air and drink from artesian well water. Someone has to do it. It might as well be us.Sunset, Lac Court Oreilles, Stone Lake, Wisconsin.
