Up in Northern Wisconsin my husband and I hear the sound of the loon first thing in the morning and the last thing in the evening. We don't hear cars and trucks whizzing by on a tollway. Instead we hear the sound of trees stirring in the wind; we see the clouds moving across the sky; and we breathe in the clear air and drink from artesian well water. Someone has to do it. It might as well be us.

How beautiful and peaceful! I love the name of the lake! It means short ears in French! Happy weekend...Debbie
ReplyDeleteI know how it feels when it´s totally silent and you have captured it well.
ReplyDeleteNever been to Wisconsin but listening to Bon Iver gives me some kind of ideas, if you know him.
Beautiful photo. Peaceful.

The sound of a loon and stirring trees...nice sounds to fall asleep to! Very tranquil scene you have here! Thanks for visiting my SWF post...

Blogtrotter is back to the «urban jungle», which Reykjavik is far from being... ;)). Enjoy and have a fabulous week!
Ahh... the sound of the loons. Another reason I love Northern Wisconsin. We live on a lake in Washington state and do have loons, but not as many as you have in the beautiful North Woods! I am so happy to have found your blog. Stone Lake is a beautiful place.
