Thinking Outside the Box Image, Lamp Reflection - Sunday, July 24, 2011

A storm rolled in. Quickly I closed the windows. Darkness fell upon the woods. TV could not find a signal. Instead of reading a book, I sat alone watching the trees in the forest blowing sideways. Branches flew helter skelter. I enjoyed hearing the pitter pat of rain which fell on the air-conditioner unit. Soon the wind stopped. I sat in a recliner and noticed the lamp reflection on the window and the forest stood there in their shiny green and brown coats. To add to the image was a wet screen which placed dots-to-dots in the image. All I did was crop the photo and add copyright. I think this falls into Thinking Outside the Box Images.

Welcome! This week I thought I would post laundry hanging outside. Gone are the days of sleeping on white sheets that have been hung out to dry on a line. Week after week I put clothing into a washer and a dryer and am thankful for these machines. I would not want to do the alternative of going down to a river, pounding these clothes on a rock and then hanging items on bushes and tree branches nearby. But I do have this wonderful clothes line. When it rains here our family likes to use the line to dry towels, camping tarps, patio chair seat covers and other stuff. Does anyone out there still use a clothes line?

Welcome to my garden! I just couldn't resist bringing home these Celosia flowers from Wal-Mart. I cleaned up the turtles which were stored in our shed for the winter months and then placed them into the garden. After the weeds were removed, I turned the soil and spread black dirt left in the planters helter skelter. Do you like the yellow or pink celosia?

What a way to start the day.

Fourth of July - 2011
This black bear was boldly walking down a blacktop road looking for garbage. I don't know if it was a male or female bear but it did find something to eat. What a mess it made! After I picked up the garbage which was laying all over the yard and then put it all into a container in the garage the bear returned to knock down our hanging flower pots.

Bravely I took a few pictures. They aren't up to snuff but wanted bloggerville to see what I saw. So, I posted them such as they are. Afraid? Cover your eyes.

This was a small bear. A few years ago, I was walking and saw a gigantic Cinnamon Bear on the same blacktop road. Luckily, the bear ignored me and just kept walking toward the lake. Perhaps he or she wanted to go for a swim. Did not have the camera with for that event.
