4/24/2013 Outdoor Wednesday #224

If you would like to view blogs who have posted an Outdoor Theme click here:  http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.   Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

During Spring Break, my husband and I decided to take the grandchildren on a trip to see a bit of Arizona.   Today, I am posting images taken on a climb we made to Eagle's Nest, near Sedona, AZ.   Photo number one is water at the Visitor's Center.  Notice the colors of the rock formations in this area.

Main path which we did not take.

We crossed this stream via bridge.

Stopped to take a photograph of view during climb.

View at the top of Eagle's Nest.

It was worth the climb up to see this view.    To tell you the truth, it was harder going down.   I wasn't sure that I wouldn't slip on loose rocks.   Lucky for me, I had my older son, helping me down the not so easy path.

  1. Beautiful country!
I know what you mean about going down is harder than climbing up.
    Have a wonderful day!

  4. Thanks for taking us along and sharing your great photos. I would not have climbed up or down. :D Last time I was in Sedona was in the late 70's
Thanks for stopping by and nice comment. Courtyard sorta sad right now, as it rained during the night and the blooms are pretty soaked and drooping. Hopefully with sunshine and warmer temps tomorrow they will perk up.
    Enjoy your evening.
