4/29 Outdoor Wednesday #16

Here are a few images of a day trip I took while visiting the Oriental Institute, Chicago, Illinois. The museum collections are from these countries: Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Sudan, Syria, and Turkey. Click here for more information: http://oi.uchicago.edu/museum/. Here is a photograph taken at the main entrance.

This poster was hanging outside inviting the public to view The Life of Meresamun: A Temple Singer in Ancient Egypt. February 10 - December 6, 2009.
Side view mirror image of tour bus.

Hop on over and see what is featured on other sites that has an Outdoor Wednesday theme at: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Thank you Susan for being our hostess.

  3. Joyce, your photos made me a bit melancholy. I'm very familiar with the Hyde Park area and played hide-and-seek in the Oriental Institute as a child. I'm awash in memories. Thanks for the memory...Mary
