These purple mums were in three bushel baskets in front of our house for Autumn. Luckily, I took this picture before the cold weather came. This coming week, all three plants need to be tossed in the garage. I am sad to see such lovely flowers go. Instead, I should look forward to the next season which is usually a cold, snowy winter. Sometimes, winter can look like fairy land.

How true, about winter that is. But it's lovely to see these flowers you've taken. They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou've reminded me that I need to toss the dead ones that linger in front of our house, too. It always makes me sad when we have to get rid of them - almost like it's an admission that summer truly is over.
ReplyDeleteWe may have known it, logically, for months. But emotionally, it doesn't hit until the flower and plant remnants get thrown away.
