8/25/2010 Outdoor Wednesday #85

If you would like to participate or view another outdoor theme please click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

Soft Shell Turtle. I never noticed one could play dot to dot on the shell before. His long neck can swing around and go back so far and then probably snap a person's arm off. Believe me, this guy had an ugly disposition. Turtle was captured and then released.

Saw this unidentified plant on shoreline of Lac Court Oreilles, Hayward Lakes Area,
Wisconsin - August 2010.

Hayrake. Hay is being gathered on farms nearby. 90 degree weather and humidity is gone. Rainy days are a memory for now. It has become windy, chilly and the sumac is turning red hinting that fall is right around the corner. Thanks for visiting. Come again if you have time.
