2/1/2012 Outdoor Wednesday #160
If you would like to participate or view other blogs who have posted an Outdoor Theme click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Thank you Susan for being the hostess.
Life is too short to stay inside even when there is ice forming at Lake Michigan. It isn't easy putting on the boots, the mittens, the parka; but I grab the camera and go. It is like a miracle being down at the lake. Hear that sound of waves roaring in and then the waves gently turning around and going back out to sea; that is like an AHA moment for me. I breath in the fresh air. I stand on frozen sand and rejoice that I am alive. This is worth it.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shot.
I love Lake Michigan. Thanks for sharing the photos. Very nice. Thanks, too, for following my blog. I've returned the favor. God bless.
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, you are right there! I can relate to you, but i haven't experienced winter so i might not really know how i will behave in that cold. Your photos are so beautiful, but the area seems so lifeless, deserted, and maybe sad! Why are those stones black with some drippings, is that tar?
ReplyDeleteVery interesting aspects here, and great you get out with your camera (and a thankful heart).
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Jan
good on you; like your philosophy and your photographs too
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!! I love the composition and the foggy background. Thanks for the visit. Happy Wednesday.

Sometimes its worth going out in the cold just to smell the freshness of the air!
ReplyDeleteDamp and beautiful!
Photography is addicting. I relate with getting all dressed to handle the weather since I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, for nearly five years. I did not make pictures then. My life is so different now, since I live in Alabama.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your comment. The verse I used is from the hymn, "For the Beauty of the Earth." When you feel and see God's beauty in the earth it is a praise to Him.
Very nice captures of mood and tones. Lovely perspectives.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pics! I love your commentary , made the pics come to life & was very inspiring !
