5/22 Outdoor Wednesday #228 - Meteor Crater, AZ
If you would like to view outdoor scenes click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.
Thank you Susan for being the hostess.
Tourist group walking to view a meteor crater.
This photograph shows the side of the crater.
Brave person putting his foot against rocks to probably balance himself.
A person really needs to be in an airplane to see how deep this crater really is. Interested in more facts click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteor_Crater.
Prayers go out to to Oklahoma.

Amazing photos - I've always wanted to see that.
ReplyDeleteArizona looks like an amazing place. I read that the "Krazy Kat" comic strip moonscapes were really based on Arizona. Fascinating.
ReplyDeleteWow! great photos of an awesome place of nature ~ thanks, ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog. Forty Baskets Beach is named after a catch of 40 baskets of fish sent to troops detained at the nearby North Head Quarantine Station after returning from Sudan in 1885. I've added this to my post. :)
ReplyDeleteA very interesting crater post. It scary seeing that person with his foot so close and the rock could give.
