Skywatch Friday March 20, 2014 Edition

Howdy folks!   If you would like to view skies from all over the world click here: http://skyley.blogspot.com/.   Skywatch Friday hosts are:   Yogi, Sylvia and Sandy.

Lake Michigan a few days ago.   Noticed that the lake was green.  Snow was frozen ice.  I was afraid to walk closer to get the photograph.  I am blessed to be able to see this blue sky while the wind tore my hood off my head so many times and it was very, very cold.   Today it was in the 40s.   Warmer tomorrow. Then cold spell sets in for the week-end.   I saw some bulbs peeking through the ground where the sun shines on that side all day.   Where the shade hits the yard, we still have piles of snow.   I may take a shovel this week-end and move some snow to the other side of the yard so it will melt.   Or perhaps I will just leave it melt.  Whatever.   Will decide over the week-end.

  4. Hello Joyce, A very interesting scene. I'm intrigued by the water being green. Is that caused by the ice?

I gather having snow and ice with cold blustery winds can get tiresome, but visually the effects are very beautifully poetic in photos.

Winter snows still are present, yet bulbs are beginning, a sure sign your Springtime is on it's way.

I wonder which way you'll go with the snow-laden part of your yard... maybe a last time snowman could be an option.

The photo is a beautiful scene with the clouds, the blue sky, the snow and the green water. Very interesting as well as beautiful.

Thanks heaps for visiting, You helped make my return special with your presence.

  7. What a beauty! It must be fun to shovel snow, at least for someone like me who has never done something like that before.
