8/24/2016 - Outdoor Wednesday - #398 - Burning Pit, Hydrangea, Sunflowers and Sunset on Lac Court Orrielles - Quote - B. Carter - Good Old Days

Greetings and Salutations!   If you would like to view Outdoor Themes click here: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/.   Thank you Susan for being our hostess.

My husband and I built this burning pit yesterday with Holland Pipestone Pavers purchased at L&M, Hayward, Wisconsin.   We had our first fire yesterday.

We lost a hydrangea last winter.  We purchased this one at Rollingwood Nursery, Stone Lake, Wisconsin. John dug a hole about 14 to maybe 18 inches deep for the plant and the fish guts (which he uses as fertilizer). After a night of gentle rain on the bush, I noticed a bee on the hydrangea already.  I think the bush likes the "new" surroundings.

Sunday, I went on a mission to see the sunflowers in bloom on County Road "B" near a distillery, Sarona, Wisconsin.  Aren't these plants just smiling away at just being alive.

This week we had a storm with lightening, thunder and awesome sunsets.   I hope you will come and visit this blog again.  Meanwhile, take care.

  1. Just stunning. The sky one really knocks my socks off! You asked where the Conservatory is, subject of posts all this week at my blog http://www.lovethatimage.com/blog/2016/08/the-conservatory-at-dusk/. It's in Seattle, in the upper left corner of the map of the US, in the other Washington. Take a look at the main blog url http://www.lovethatimage.com/blog/ for several nice photos of that extraordinary place. Thanks for visiting!
