Thank you Susan for being the hostess.

For Mother's Day my son, Johnny, purchased a gift certificate.  What a generous son I have.  Months later I finally decided to purchase plants that can grow in the shade and partly sun.   Below are pictures of where they were planted.

Hosta, Wide Brim

Fire Island

Godzilla

Lost the information

Hosta, Regal Splendor

Pachysandra plants - A gift from my mother-in-law's house (Catherine Meyer)

Victoria Blue, Salvia Farinacea, Rollingwood Nursery, Stone Lake, Wisconsin.

Purchased these petunias at Wal-Mart.  Don't they look like petunias with measles?

Purchased these Kniphofia at Wal-Mart.  They were orange but turned yellow as time went on.

The plants featured above were planted next to a sidewalk going down to the lake.  So there are five plants on one side of the side walk and five exactly the same on the other side of the sidewalk.  Next year, I am hoping to place landscaping lumber along the other side of the ten new plants then place cedar mulch around all the plants with ground lighting along the sidewalk. In between the established  plants (if they make it through the winter months) I am hoping to put annuals for POP and a few ground cover plants.  We'll see if my knees will be cooperative next year or not.

Thank you Johnny for the gift that will keep on giving.  Thanks to Nicki, Eddy, and Alex for planting them for me earlier this month.  What would I have done without you guys?
