Ah, I wonder where all the travelers went -- what their hopes and dreams were -- and who they saw as they rode the rails.

There are many tracks close to our house. Some are use frequently and some are just spurs to warehouses. My initial thought was, they should take them out of the road so it's not as bumpy.
ReplyDeleteThe stories those rails could tell us!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy O W is posted now...it's a continuation [and last entry for the week] of our tour of the Botanical Gardens.
I was thinking the same thing, just wondering what it was like when it was working. Who was there, where it stopped, what it carried. Neat post!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs of times past ... reminder of how things change.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Im not so sure that change is always for the better. I miss all the trains... seems to me a lost connection.
ReplyDeleteStop by if you get a minute -- would love to have you.
