From the LCO Casino we could make the choice of turning right and a right or turning right and drive straight. We went straight. It depends on how a person looks at it. Since we had an appointment in town it probably was a wrong decision but, since we had never seen anything like this before the moment was turned into a positive event. Highway 77 was blocked off for a while by the State Police to vehicular traffic for a bike event leaving from Hayward bound for Telemark. I guess there are over 3,000 bike riders participating in the event. That was so neat! We were not even late for our meeting.
Since we were in town we decided to do errands and more errands. When we arrived back home, we needed to put away the groceries and get food out of the freezer to prepare for dinner later.
Finally, I have some time to post these lovely Pink Geraniums. My husband purchased this plant at an Ace Hardware Store in Skokie, Illinois. We hauled this plant up north to our Cabin at the Lake. Actually the geraniums have bloomed several times and still are.
It is about 90 degrees up here right now. Talk about a climate change. I can remember when it would rain for two solid weeks up here and be damp and cold. To explain the cold, it was so cold that I felt the chill all the way to the bones. Now that feels cold! Ah, I can't complain about this hot weather because the sun feels good on this old body. Think I will go get an ice cream bar and then look at what other folks have posted for this glorious Pink Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you next week.

Thanks for stopping by CollectInTexas Gal today. I laughed at your direction dilemma...only because I'm so directionally challenged that I have a Hard and Fast Rule...When In Doubt, Always Turn RIGHT. That way you can never be Wrong! Can't tell you how many times I shoulda turned left!...LOL..Your Pink Geraniums are still beautiful...Mine in Texas are kaput...so hot here this summer....Sue

ReplyDeleteLove this post. I am surprised you did not have your camera with you where you could get some pictures of the bike race. Did you see any of them?
I love the geranium. It is so virant of a color the pink. Draped over the watering can it looks so playful. I love it.
I'll take one of those ice cream bars also please. Thanks for sharing today. Please stop by and let me share my pink post with you. Country hugs, Sherry
When the blossoms of summer begin to fade we can always count on Pink Saturday to bring a smile to our faces and to remind us that somewhere there are pastels and pretty things.

ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'll take so of your heat. I refused to turn the heat on and the chill you described was my week experience.
Happy Pink Saturday!
I know what you mean about cold to the bones. That's a damp cold and no fun, can never get warm once that feeling sets in. A very hot shower does help tho. We live in the desert, so I no longer experience that, now we just sweat all the time!! Happy Pink Saturday and I love the geraniums, Char
ReplyDeleteHow sweet the flowers is.
