9/09/2009 - Outdoor Wednesday #35

I was driving down a rural gravel road near Stone Lake and noticed these weeds. I stopped the car, got my digital camera out of a camera case and as I stepped out to get the shot, Yellow Finches were scattering everywhere. It was a shame that I didn't notice them before. I could have taken the shots by rolling down the car window. Live and learn.

Sunflowers are worth a photographic study at least once a year if not more. This photo was a color image which I changed to a black and white photograph. I love how their faces always turn toward the sun. Sunflowers always look so happy.

Leather boot planter taken at Fishing Hall of Fame, Hayward, Wisconsin.
